My favorite time of year would have to be winter.  I love to snowboard!!!!!  And when ever i can make it to the slopes I'll go at the drop of a hat.  Even though Winterplace, in Beckley WV, is closer by 45 minutes I'll still make the 2hour drive to Snowshoe/Silvercreek to snowboard with my amazing best friend and girlfriend and all of our friends.  These are some of the picture's from our trips.

Hiking To Wine Cellar Lake in Dunbar, WV

The Old Wine Cellar's

Entering the Park
The Lake

This was from a hiking trip I took with a group up to Wine Cellar's Park/Lake.  We started in Institute, WV and walked 4 miles to the park.  We lucked out and had a nice breeze and cloud cover.  Once we made it to the lake we fished for a while and then headed back.  Not even 300 yards from the lake it started to pour the rain.  Which was, in a way funny, but stunk, so we ended up calling friends to come and pick us up.  In all we had a blast and enjoyed the day.

Where to start in such a Great State like West Virginia!!!

The Wild and Wonderful State!!! It lives up to its name.  Whether your driving through and seeing the beautiful mountains and the views this state naturally provides or visiting historical towns, land marks, activity hot spots or just relaxing.  Just a car ride away and you can be in a different world of adventure.  During the summer the hot weather has everyone flocking to the lakes and rivers for boating and fishing.  For those thrill seekers, white water rafting and zipping through Tree Tops Zip-Lining Adventure on the New River.  Or just relaxing listening to music at weekend town functions.  The summer days are busy and offer enough activity for everyone.  The fall months bring out the scaring and caring.  From the beautiful views of the Gorge or Hawks Nest at the amazing tree colors, to haunted houses and trails all over the state screams and laughing is in the air.  The winter months brings along the best of times and some of the best skiing in the South Eastern states has to offer.  Along with your pick of sledding hills everywhere you look.  The Spring is one of best times to experience the state some will say because the weather is just right and cool enough to be out doors and smell the fresh air and plants in bloom.  Whatever you take on life and nature, West Virginia is one state you need to experience first hand.
